Logistics Leader at the Swedish Armed Forces
Do you want to be involved in planning and implementing Host Nation Support to Sweden's allies during a time of growth and increasing geopolitical challenges? Welcome to the Swedish Armed Forces Logistics (FMLOG) – a rapidly developing organization that is crucial for Sweden's and NATO's joint defense.
Since Sweden's accession to NATO, logistics has taken on a more central role, and FMLOG is in a dynamic phase where we are building a new nationally integrated logistics management, on par with the branches of the Armed Forces. We strengthen support to NATO through host nation support, pre-stocking, and deployment of our own and allied units, while also developing our national structure with regional replacement areas.
We are now looking for you who want to help build the logistics capability of the future.
About the unit and the task:
Host Nation Support involves the Armed Forces' support to allied countries' military units when they are in Sweden. The SOR process (Statement of Requirement) is a NATO method for ordering, delivering, and invoicing logistics needs that the foreign unit has during its time in Sweden, e.g., food, fuel, etc.
The planning section is responsible for operational planning within a time horizon of 3 to 24 months. The section includes both military and civilian Logistics Leaders whose task is to lead, coordinate, and follow up on the SOR process.

- Collaborate, coordinate, and engage in dialogues within the unit and with superior and peer management levels.
- Represent the Armed Forces Logistics in various working groups and forums.
- Conduct scheduled standby duty.
- Travel for work, both nationally and internationally.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of work experience in leading and planning logistics.
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
- Driving license B.
Meritorious:
- Work experience in leading, coordinating, and following up on your own projects.
- Higher vocational education with a focus on logistics.

- Experience of service at staff level.
- Experience in leading or participating in exercise planning.
- Experience in procurement.
- Experience in transport planning.

- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Personal qualities:
To fit into the role of Logistics Leader with us, you need to have a good ability to lead your own projects. You are communicative and have high social skills as you collaborate with various parties. You independently drive projects, have many balls in the air, and are effective when coordinating needs between different suppliers. You preferably have previous work experience in logistics within the Armed Forces.
You regularly undertake business trips and have many travel days per year.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
For the right individual, there are good opportunities for further development within the unit.
